In XP:
XP has
a new setting that increases the size of the font in
the windows desktop and windows system only while still allowing each
individual program to have control over it's own font size. To use this feature in XP.
Go To: Control Panel under Display Properties:
under the Appearance Tab you can use Large Font Size.
under the Settings Tab, advanced button, use normal font size 96DPI.
Internet explorer also has a separate large font size setting that
you might then want to turn on, it's under the main menu under 'View'
and 'Text Size'
The "chart data entry" screen does have a button that
will let you adjust the size of that screen, but you can't see it if
the buttons are obscured on your system. This chart data entry screen
has three modes, basic, normal, and advanced. When you click on the
button the screen will get bigger and smaller but it also reveals more
advanced settings and controls. That's why the windows is not resizable
by dragging because it has three predefined views of different sizes
If you need larger icons on the screen the best thing to do is switch
back to normal size (96 DPI) fonts and reduce your screen resolution a
notch. Like for example if you are on 1600 by 1200 try
1280 x 1024 instead.
