Moving Charts to New Computer

. Put a floppy disk in A:\ drive (or CD into CD drive or USB/Memory stick or open folder on the same PC). On your Old PC (where your chart files are)

. Open up C:\ drive and find the SOLFIRE folder, hitting the + sign in front of it, as indicated above.
Or double click . Then double click on the Folder named "USERDATA" look for files with the SUN Icon (solarFire Icon). click on one then hold down the CTRL key and click on the rest, they become highlighted (they have names like Aussie.cht,, CLIFF.cht, or onew you created)
Then Up at top, go to "Edit" and then "Copy".
on your old PC

. Doing nothing else, go back up to the A:\ driveor CD into CD drive or USB/Memory stick or open folder on the same PC), double clicking it. Contents displayed on the right.


 Up at top, go to "Edit" and then "Copy".

Once the copy is complete remove the CD or Floppy or USB/Memory stick and place it in your new PC

 Go down to the SOLFIRE\USERDATA folder. Click once on the USERDATA folder to select it. (Your Solar Fire folder might be named SolFire5 or SolFire6 or SFDeluxe) on your New PC.

. Go back up to "Edit", and select "Paste".

. Your chart files are now copied into Solar Fire
