How do I select the file/chart to generate the Report?
Ensure you have a chart listed and selected in the Active Charts display before attempting to run a report.
If the File Window is not viewable when you open your report program,
click on View on the main menu bar and make sure there is a check mark
next to File Window. If there is not, click once on File Window. This
menu toggles views on and off. A check mark next to item indicates it
will be viewed. No check mark means it will not be viewed.
If the chart you wish to generate a report for is already saved,
open it from the File Window. If you are generating a report for a new
person, click on New on the Tools Rosette or click on Files/Charts on
the main menu bar and select New Chart Data Entry. Enter the birth
information for the person and click OK when you are finished. The new
chart will be added to the Active Charts Display.
To generate a report for a chart listed in the Active Charts, click
once on the chart to select it. Then on the Reports Gold Bar, click on
the round button next to the report you wish to run. Then click on the
Edit button located at the bottom of the File window/Active Charts
Display to generate the report.
